Machine Builder Day is great occasion for all

For the biggest machine building plants of Kirovograd “Chervona zirka” and “Hydrosila” it has become a tradition to celebrate Machine Builder Day as a city-wide holiday. This year this holiday has coincided with City Day (Kirovograd celebrated its 257-year jubilee). Thus the celebration looked really much in a sweeping manner.

Two surprises were expected by townsmen: Open Day at the factory “Chervona zirka” and folk festive at the town garden “Kovalevsky”.

From the morning everybody could hear the music at the clock-house of ‘Chervona zirka”: the plant greeted the gests. Many gests could see production process and visit the workplace where the machines of the world level are being produced. Moreover a special bus was available for the visitors all day.

About 2000 visitors have visited the plant. These were workers of the factory with their families, students and school-children, veterans of work and ordinary people.

The main part of Open Day has certainly become an excursion by the workshops of the factory. During the year, from last Open Day until now, a lot of changes were made at the factory. The goals of these changes are to increase the working conditions, to approach production process to the world standards.

The gests could see welding robot in work, laser system and numerical control machines, the new automatic painting line of powder covering which have not analogs in CIS countries. They could even participate in constructing process of the machines.

In addition, the visitors have acquainted themselves with the samples of the products, produced by “Chervona zirka” and they have also got the souvenirs as a keepsake.

The official part of the holiday was started with greetings of Chairman Kirovograd Regional State Administration Sergey Larin and Mayor of Kirovograd Alexander Sainsus. Then the general director of “Hydrosila group” and general director OJSC “Chervona zirka” have greeted all townsmen.

General director of “Chervona zirka” was awarded with the order of Kirovograd town council. Also deputy director of preproduction and maintainability of “Chervona zirka” Yuriy Pridan was also awarded.

After congratulations the townsmen could see the show devoted to town history and history of establishing of machine building enterprises in Kirovograd.

A lot of competition and games for the children was organized in the scope of this show. Also many farmers and machine builders have visited this event.

The most favourite places for adults became the exposition of modern automobiles and, surely, cafes which were located by the alley of the garden.

In addition, the visitors could see the exposition of sculpture of art-welding and landscape design and also many interesting things Kirovograd machine builders have proved that Machine Builder Day is really a holiday for all.
